Abstract:
Records of Storer College, West Virginia's first African American institution of higher learning, located in Harpers Ferry. This collection contains mainly administrative and operational records of the college. Series include Correspondence, President's Reports, Board of Trustees, Dean of Women Reports, By-Laws, Faculty, Student Records, Financial Records, Newspaper ("Storer Record"), and Scrapbooks, among other series. Types of records include annual reports, publications, memorabilia, artifacts, and other material. This collection includes material regarding John Brown's Fort.
